From the very beginning my passion for art was sparked from life drawing sessions and mark making of the exciting figure. My art has evolved into a blend of mixed media applications which are composed of colour, texture, layering and print designs. The joy for me is the unexpected outcome, a totally intuitive process. Nothing is predetermined. Realism is not important but capturing the essence of the subject is. My art must be based upon emotion and I strive to have an element of both atmosphere and spontaneity. Experimentation is essential along with lots of energy and passion. I continually construct and deconstruct giving each piece new meaning and direction. All my work reflects this process and my constant desire to produce art of intriguing depth and mystery. Authenticity and remaining true to myself is crucial.
