About Fabrice Pasquier

Fabrice’s paintings embody the appearances that reach us daily, whether from our surroundings or the mass media. He explores and then reduces each representation to finally reveal only its essential feeling on the canvas.
With a dedication and focus to the art he creates, transmits and shares with others, his characters personify the snapshots of our lives both in action and nonchalance. “Always to the rhythm of music in my studio, my creative desire and inspiration is fuelled by the lived experience of travel around the world and the richness cultures I’ve encountered in these travels. Beyond appropriation, I question our exposure to the constant flow of visual stimuli, as well as the way we perceive the world in which we exist” Born a short distance from Paris, Fabrice Pasquier, is a painter who lives and works in the French countryside, close to the borders of Germany and Luxembourg.
Fabrice’s love of oil paint began at a young age. Passionate about art, BMX and motocross, he combined these 3 ventures where action, style and lively colours all emanate. Collecting paraphernalia from his favourite sports, he began creating custom pastiche style headgear with a combination of found image and painting on these ergonomic surfaces.

He progressed to creating his first oil paintings organically, in the early 90s, inspired by painters with a graphic sense of colour such as Matisse and Van Gogh as well as French collagist Braque. Moving on from the influence of the masters he developed his own artistry, creating original pieces that reflected a vivid and moving universe.
