Stanislas Piechaczek

French-born, Australian artist, Stanislas Piechaczek brings to his linen a funky edge via figuration. His aesthetic combines leisurely themes and quirky dialogue between his subjects and their environment with expressive bursts of colour and form. Originally from the small, French town, Issoudun, migrating to the Basque country, and finally Queensland, Australia, Stan's creative influences traverse international borders. Whilst Stan’s technique is fluid in practice, his inspiration remains true to the essence of his lived experiences around the world, his natural and urban surroundings, nostalgic past times and current hobbies. The resulting imagery denotes high-spirited scenes, that are deeply personal to the artist, and yet at once universal to his audiences.
