Melbourne-based emerging artist Peter Consadine began painting in 1991, specialising in monochromatic oil paintings, focusing on dancers and portraits. A luminary in the professional dance sphere, Peter's 30-year career earned him prestigious awards such as the Sir Robert Helpmann and Hogarth awards. Transitioning from classical ballet to freestyle dance, he achieved recognition as the world's top freestyle dancer in 1998.

Peter's artistic journey was sparked by his father, a frontline Red Cross nurse during the Vietnam War. When Peter was six years old, his father sketched an old tractor and VW Beetle. These drawings left an indelible impression on Peter, igniting his passion and setting him on the path of discovering his artistic talent. Self-taught and now committed to art full-time, He meticulously focuses on recreating reality with a photographic level of precision. Each piece takes a minimum of 40 hours, and he effortlessly scales up his works for larger canvases. Peter is gaining prominence for his precision, attention to detail, and ability to create art that captivates with its realism and clarity.
