The Australian bush is a  constant influence on my work. Straddling ground somewhere between abstraction and reality I aim to relate my responses to both the physical and atmospheric conditions of the landscape. My work taps into my emotional response to place; its energy and power. Even when painting figuratively the marks I make are expressive and abstracted to embody the energy and movement of a scene.
