Lynn Savery Finalist In the Portia Geach Memorial Award 2021
The Portia Geach Memorial Award is Australia’s most prestigious art prize for portraiture by women artists.
The works by 57 women artists from across the nation have been announced for the country’s most distinguished portrait prize for female artists, the Portia Geach Memorial Award.
The fifth edition of Belle ArtStart (2020) awarded the first prize to Lilianne Ivins for her works Dark River and Mirror.
“Inspired by my love of wilderness, travel and romantic landscape painting, my work relates to the transformative and metaaphysical nuances of remote space, ” says Lilianne, who resides in the NSW Blue Mountains and recently returned from a solo trip to Iceland and Canada.
Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, Anne-Marie Zanetti is a painter and finalist in the 4th Edition of Boynes Emerging Artist Award. Her love for the discipline emerged from a young age when she “can remember having enjoyed using my hands, from drawing and painting to cross-stitching and sewing, even building with timber or clay.
